Lessons this Pandemic Has Taught Me

Can you believe that 3 months ago, everything seemed normal? We were all just doing our thing – going about our daily lives. And then all of a sudden, things have become bleak. It has caused so many of us to adapt and accept that our lives will never be the same again.

The world has been impacted significantly by the coronavirus or also known as COVID-19. Many had to either get used to working from home or temporarily lose their jobs. The Governments all around the globe has enforced quarantine for everyone’s safety. This whole new life of isolation has encouraged me to think about life – made me realize quite a few things. Here are some valuable life lessons this whole experience has taught me.

Health is something we all tend to overlook at especially when everything seems to be fine. When you are too caught up with your work and you feel fine, chances are, your health will be neglected. This current situation we are all going through has reminded me to that no matter how successful you are, and how much money you make, health shouldn’t be taken for granted. It may sound cliché but health is wealth. Being healthy most especially nowadays is priceless.

I have to admit that there are times when I can’t help but complain about things going wrong. Now that we are in this situation and with all that has been happening, there’s so much to be thankful for. We have a roof over our head. we have enough food to eat. We are safe and healthy. These are things that we sometimes forget to thank for.

Not being able to do what we all normally do on a daily basis – the quarantine alone made me crave for that connection to others. This reminded me that kindness is a cure to most of the world’s problem. Right now is not that time to only think about ourselves – it is the perfect time to spread kindness no matter what and the amazing thing is the it is absolutely free.

It’s so easy to think about what might go wrong especially right now when everyone seems to be worried about the world and the impact of the pandemic. It’s much harder to stay positive nowadays, no doubt about that. However, it’s important to remember that we won’t be able to solve anything with so much negativity. I’m not suggesting to ignore the facts, but our minds need to take a break from all the information that could jeopardize our mental health. We shouldn’t just pay attention to our physical health. Plus, it’s always good to look on the bright side of life. After all, we really can’t know what the future holds. So do your part and leave the rest to God.

This couldn’t be more true now and we have witnessed how people are constantly finding ways to get something especially when there is a dire need for it. People are looking for amazing alternatives and are becoming more creative not just in the country but all over the world.
